The coffee at breakfast time was good, as were the fruit juices, and the selection was adequate but lacking in diversity.
We were disappointed with the extortionate charge for car parking, and appalled that items such as spa, fitness corner, sun-loungers and bathing towels were chargeable as extras. In a four star hotel we should expect all this to be included, as it is in England
The hotel is well located to explore the charms of Sorrento itself as well as being walking distance to good bus and train links paving the way to further adventures in Pompeii, Naples or the Amalfi Coast. The reception area is approached by a long marble underpass from the road outside that, although on an incline, is not particularly challenging and with 2 gold buggies that will ferry people up and down if required. The staff all speak extremely good English and are exceedingly helpful. We were struck by the cleanliness of the rooms and hotel in general which is well decorated although some of the bedrooms did appear a little 'tired'. The breakfast was typical of a continental option but also with the choice of a freshly cooked omelette.
Overall the stay was good the porters and chamber staff were first class and could not do enough for you
The reception and front of house staff acted very professional if a bit cold and could learn a lot from their porters and chamber staff
The food and central location of this hotel was excellent. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Our room was cleaned every day with clean towels etc provided daily. If you do not have a room with a seaview some people may be disappointed as the other rooms face on to a cliff face. I would recommend this hotel for its central location alone.
This hotel exceeded our expectations. Helpful staff, lovely pool, and comfortable and clean rooms.
Lovely Location, close to everything, very clean and friendly hotel, Very helpfull staff, good prices for drink and food, My group and are friends enjoyed the conca park and would visit again for sure!!!!!!!!
The staff were the ace card of this hotel. Everyone was courteous, helpful and obliging. The standard of cleanliness was good and the servicing of the rooms prompt and discreet. The location was just at the extemity of the town, any further and the walk to the centre would be too much.
I was very disappointed by the poor internet wi fi service that was offered by the hotel. It only ocassionally worked and was frustrating. It was one of the main reasons I booked this hotel and there was not even the facility to use a pay as you go internet facility in the hotel. The entrance of the hotel is at least 300 metres to reception and is accessed by an inclined tunnel. There was a courtesy golf buggy but no one voluteered to offer assistance except at the check in on arrival. The room lacked a tea and coffee making facility. However there was fridge with no contents. The breakfast was average but only by asking the waiters to make us a special coffee were they drinkable as the machine made hot drinks were awful. The fresh fruit selection was good but the uht milk was tasteless.
It was close to the conference center at a nearby Hilton Hotel
1) The management was pretty bad and not very forthcoming to make accommodations. I had to cut my stay short and they did not show any sympathy nor were very helpful to provide me with a modest discount. They did not seem to care for the customer, especially for a highly likely returning customer like me. 2) Breakfast was OK but a lot of "plastic" food catered for group travelers.
Upon leaving the hotel, we were transported down the very long tunnel entrance with our luggage on a buggy. We also had a lovely view of the Bay of Naples from our 5th floor balcony.
The pool got very crowded at times. Although there was a children's pool and a section of the larger pool for children, they were still allowed in the adult pool and took in balls, toys etc. even though signs were up saying this was not allowed. It is not an ideal shape pool to swim in to begin with, but this made it more of an obstacle course. Although we had booked and paid for half-board months before, on our first evening in the restaurant, the headwaiter said we had only paid for bed and breakfast which I found quite humiliating. He said we would have to sort it out with reception, which we did, but it was not a pleasant start to our stay there.
I travelled with my wife and 3 month old son for my sister in laws wedding and were a little worried when we arrived as to the accessibility with a push chair but we needn't have been as we had absolutely no problem around the hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the cleaners made an extra fuss of my son each morning. We were on a B and B package and there were a large variety of breakfast items to choose from to set you up well for the day. The rooms were cleaned daily and really were spotless. The walk into the town took about 10 minutes and the roads are not really suited to push chairs but not so much that it is impossible. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are staying in Sorrento.
Convenient once you get to the front of the hotel for access to the top of corso Italia and therefore close to centre of sorrento town.
We requested a double room with possibility of nice view if possible as we were on our honeymoon and had emailed this in advance to the hotel. As we booked this hotel well in advance we got a special discount rate through bookings.com of €60 per night.Think we were disadvantaged for this as we were given a room with twin beds...good for a honeymoon couple and in an older part of the hotel so view was poor and the decor very old fashioned and dreary. Bit disappointed. Also important to note it is a long trek from front of hotel to reception and although they use a golf buggy to take you there it's not always available if you are getting in late at night.
I enjoyed staying a few days at this very good large modern hotel. It was close to the town centre (a short walk), a 15-20 min walk to the beach with bus stop to train station almost directly outside. My single room was a good size, newly refurbished to a high standard, extremely clean and comfortable with good aircon (although with no view or balcony). The bathroom was great and fitted to a high standard. The hotel breakfast was superb with a huge variety of cooked foods, fruit and bakery goods. Staff were pleasant, efficient and helpful. The hotel made a great base for seeing the area and after sightseeing it was lovely to relax on the comfy chairs in the shady garden with a drink or laze by the pool. I would stay there again.
Spa was good if a little expensive
We hired a car and were charged 20 euros per night to park it at the hotel. We had to pay for pool towels.
Its a lovely clean hotel. Great setting and the staff are extremely friendly..
Staff can be a bit slow at times but I think thats the way things are in italy in general when it comes to eating out but over all its an excellent well run hotel...
Very good location, staff all friendly
Very slow service for drinks and food at times.
